What started as an outing for four high school (or was it junior high) girls who had made capes in their sewing class, has become a beloved Christmas tradition! The group has varied some over the years, but we're always assured to have a car (or two!) full of eager singers.
"Joy to the World", "O Come All Ye Faithful", and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" were our songs this year, done in three part harmony. (At one house we did manage to squeeze in "Come Rejoicing" - a song we have sung every single year until this one...)
Our time in each home is brief, but we enjoy the precious moments we get to share with our dear friends. We stay just long enough for a few carols and hugs before we must whisk off to the next house, hoping to spread a little Christmas cheer along our path.
Truth of it is, we are probably more blessed by this annual event than those we visit! For they are wonderful models of perseverance and faith.
